What we collect, and how

Information you give us. When you request a brochure, ask for a price list, book a call, or contact us through the website, WhatsApp or telephone, we collect your name, email address, telephone number, the country you are enquiring from, and anything else you choose to tell us about what you are looking for.

Information collected automatically. When you visit bonita.luxury we and our providers collect your IP address, device and browser type, the pages you view, the links you click, how you reached the site (including the search term or advertisement, where available), and identifiers stored in cookies and similar technologies.

Information from advertising platforms. When you arrive from an advertisement, the advertising platform may pass us an identifier for that click. We use it to understand which advertising leads to genuine enquiries.

Why we use it

Legal bases (for visitors in the EU, EEA and UK). We rely on your consent for non-essential cookies and for marketing messages; on the necessity of taking steps at your request before entering into a contract when you ask us for information about a property; and on our legitimate interests in understanding and improving our marketing, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.

• To answer your enquiry and send you the material you asked for.
• To contact you about the properties you enquired about, including by email, telephone and WhatsApp.
• To understand how our website and advertising perform, and to improve them.
• To show you relevant advertising on Google and Meta platforms, and to avoid showing advertising to people who have already bought or who are already in conversation with us.
• To keep records we are required to keep, and to establish or defend legal claims.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data.

We share it with service providers who process it on our behalf:

• HubSpot (customer relationship management, forms, email). HubSpot stores the enquiries you submit and the record of our correspondence.
• Google (Google Analytics, Google Ads). Used to measure website and advertising performance and to deliver advertising. Where we upload contact details to Google for audience matching, they are hashed before they leave our systems.
• Meta (Facebook and Instagram advertising). Used to deliver and measure advertising. Where we upload contact details to Meta for audience matching, they are hashed before they leave our systems.

We do not pass your enquiry to external brokers or agencies. When you contact us through this website, your enquiry is handled by Bonita’s own team. Any third parties named above act only as our processors, on our instructions.

Bonita is not responsible for websites that imitate ours. We advertise only from bonita.luxury and contact you only from a bonita address or the telephone number shown on this site. If you were contacted by someone claiming to represent Bonita from another website, please tell us at privacy@bonita.luxury.

We also share data where we are required to by law, or in connection with a sale or reorganisation of our business.

International transfers

Bonita is established in the Dominican Republic, and our service providers operate in the United States and the European Union. The Dominican Republic has not been the subject of an adequacy decision by the European Commission. Where we transfer personal data from the EEA or the UK, we do so on the basis of Standard Contractual Clauses or another lawful transfer mechanism, and you may request a copy of the relevant safeguards using the contact details above.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry records for as long as we are in contact with you about a purchase, and for 24 months after our last meaningful contact, unless you ask us to delete them sooner or we are required to keep them longer for tax, accounting or legal reasons. Website analytics data is retained according to the settings of the platforms named above.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies through Google Tag Manager for:

• Strictly necessary operation of the website.
• Analytics, to understand how the site is used.
• Advertising, to measure advertising performance and to show relevant advertising on Google and Meta.

You can accept or reject non-essential cookies through the banner on the site and change your choice at any time. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser, though parts of the site may then not work as intended.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent at any time.

If you are in the EEA or the UK, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use and disclose it, the right to delete it, the right to correct it, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising within the meaning of the CCPA as amended.

To exercise any of these rights, write to privacy@bonita.luxury. We will respond within the time required by the law that applies to you.

Marketing messages

If you ask us for information about a property, we will contact you about it. You can opt out of marketing at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email, by replying STOP to a WhatsApp message, or by writing to privacy@bonita.luxury. Opting out of marketing does not stop us replying to a specific enquiry you have made.

Children

The website is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.

Changes

We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the date at the top. If the changes are significant we will tell you directly where we have your contact details.
